Preshus and
Ashley
at
Peaked Mountain Farm
Dedham, Maine
Preshus (pronounced "precious") was Peaked Mountain Farm's
devoted Border Collie who inspired the creation of Bite O' Blue™ Wild
Blueberry Dog Treats. We always knew when our blueberries were ready for
harvest because Preshus would be out in the field grazing! So, even though
she had passed away in 2002 at the age of 16, her dog bone cookie cutter
gave us the idea to make wild blueberry treats from our crop in her
memory. After all, dogs need
antioxidants, too.

McKenzie,
the Peaked Mountain Farm
"Granddog"
McKenzie lives on the foot of Peaked
Mountain with 5th and 6th generation members of the farm's family. She
carries on where Preshus left off, by checking the crop and overseeing the
harvest. She is also the No. 1 Bite O' Blue™ inspector (thief) and
samples as many as she can to be sure they are fit for the doggie treat
market.

Pixie,
the Peaked Mountain Farm
"Dixie Granddog"
Pixie lives in Georgia with 5th and
6th generation members of the farm's family. She is still a growing pup and
hasn't visited the mountain yet, but she has sampled Bite O' Blue™ from
afar.

Update:
Pixie was unexpectedly called to doggie
heaven in 2007. She was a great friend
that her family will miss and always
remember fondly.
Triton, Sawyer, and General
These three Newfoundlands live in
Iowa and they help their "Mom" Rhonda by being good citizens. They are
therapy dogs and make people at schools and libraries very happy. They
raffled off some Bite O' Blue™, among other donated items from dog
lovers, to raise funds for Newfoundland rescue at the Newfiepalooza 2006.
Ritz, Pringles, and Triscuit -- or
collectively, "The Girls"
These three ladies live in Wisconsin.
They love blueberries, especially Pringles. Their owner, Joan, ordered
Bite O' Blue™ for them from this web site and said Pringles had to be the
first in line for the taste test.

AND R ECEIVE
A CUDDLY STUFFED DOG
Stuffed Border
Collies are on sale to help raise funds
for the dogs at
Border Collie Rescue.
These plush animals are the ultimate cuddle toy and softer than many
other stuffed animals. Their design is remarkable in its detail and so
life-like you'll
often forget you don't have to let them out
for a bathroom break.
This Border Collie stuffed toy is
beautifully made -- approximately 18 inches x 12 inches -- just right
for cuddling up with on the couch or for the foot of a child's bed. It’s
a great way to share the special qualities of a Border Collie with
someone who isn’t able to have a live pet to love. They are also machine
washable.
Price is only $20 per stuffed Border Collie, plus $6.00 shipping within
the US. (International shipping will be actual shipping costs for
airmail shipping.) Money raised from stuffed animal orders assists
Border Collie Rescue in their work of caring for and relocating Border
Collies, who have been abandoned, suffered a disaster, or put up for
adoption due to trying circumstances.
These Border Collies
stuffed toys are only available from Border Collie Rescue.

met Chaucer at The Colony Hotel's 3rd Annual Dog Lover's Weekend. He really
took to Bite O' Blue™ Wild

taken with the quality of Judy's TailWaggers Maine-made pet
accessories we will be carrying them at our farmstand in 2007
in various blueberry and bone prints.
